The Princeton Sentry® Ginkgo is a perfect choice when you want the strength and beauty of a classic shade tree, but in a form that fits more easily into modern landscapes. This upright, narrow tree grows tall without spreading too wide, making it ideal for driveways, streets, and smaller yards. Its unique fan-shaped leaves are a fresh green through the growing season, before turning a brilliant golden-yellow in fall that lights up the whole garden.
- Narrow upright form ideal for tighter spaces
- Brilliant golden-yellow fall color
- Extremely hardy and long-lived tree
- Tolerates heat, cold, and urban conditions
- Pest and disease free and deer resistant
Princeton Sentry® Ginkgo grows best in full sun and in well-drained soil, but it will adapt to almost any soil type, including poor or sandy ground. Once established it is drought tolerant and needs very little care, making it one of the easiest shade trees you can grow. Hardy from zone 3 to zone 9, it thrives in both very cold and warm regions, and as a fruitless male selection it stays clean and mess-free. Plant it anywhere you need a dependable, long-lived tree with outstanding fall color and a strong, upright presence.
