Full sun is best for your Lil’ Kim® Violet Hardy Hibiscus, but a touch of shade for part of the day will do no harm. Plant it in any well-drained soil, including poor, drier soils and low-fertility spots – it’s very adaptable to hot, dry conditions after a little help in the first season you grow it. It’s happy in humidity too, and thrives in heat, and it isn’t bothered by pests or diseases, or by deer.
