Plant your Morris Blue Korean Pine in full sun, or with just a touch of shade. It grows well in any well-drained soil, including acidic ones, and is happy in soils that incline towards dryness. Good drought tolerance once established. Not eaten by deer and rarely bothered by any pests or diseases, and is resistant to verticillium wilt. Dense enough to be left to grow naturally, or it can be pruned and wired into an irregular form, and the new growth ‘candled’ (pinched out) in spring to develop even denser growth.
