The Little Lime PunchĀ® Hydrangea is a big break-through, bringing fabulous colors to the popular Little Lime variety. Compact and easy to grow, it is between 3 and 5 feet tall and wide, an upright bush with strong stems. The flower heads are a foot long and 9 inches across, containing up to 500 flowers. Heads don’t flop and begin in mid-summer gorgeous shades of pale lime-green. These then turn white and by late summer begin to turn pink from the base. Gradually they turn raspberry red from bottom to top, making a fabulous fall display. An easy and cold-resistant shrub that will liven up summer as a good punch livens up a party. Grow as a specimen, in beds or in planter boxes.

  • Multi-colored flower heads are a foot tall on a compact bush
  • Flowers start lime green and then turn white
  • In late summer pink tones develop as the head gradually turn red
  • Very easy to grow and blooms well in cold zones
  • Sun tolerant in colder zones

The Little Lime PunchĀ® Hydrangea grows well in full sun in colder zones, or in partial shade. Plant it in any well-drained soil, preferably rich and reasonably moist. Pests and diseases are rare but it isn’t tolerant of deer or salt-spray. Spring pruning is advised to develop a well-formed bush with large flower heads.
