The Night Light® Hinoki Cypress is a new golden-leaf evergreen with wonderfully toned colors transitioning from bright yellow at the tips to chartreuse green deep inside the bush. The golden coloring doesn’t scorch in full sun, even in hotter zones, and it holds through the year, often turning reddish-bronze in winter. It grows to 5 feet tall and wide within 10 years, ultimately becoming an upright bush to 30 feet, and 15 feet wide. It can be trimmed to any size. Grow it as a specimen in beds or around your home, on slopes and among rocks, or as a hedge or screen, with or without trimming. Its graceful form and bright colors are sure to please.

Full sun will develop the best colors Night Light® Hinoki Cypress. It grows well in zone 5, and all they way through zone 8. It is easy to grow in any well-drained soil, and established plants tolerate some dryness. Pests or diseases are very rare, making this an easy bush for anyone to grow. Trim in late winter or late spring if you want to control the size, or keep a more formal look.
